Visit Research:
To conduct the research, I visited Gandhinagar's Annapurna Heritage Village and experienced the Kathputli show live. In their stories, the artists spoke about how this age-old culture has been passed down through their families. With a decrease in shows, they also discussed the troubles and difficulties they face now.
Moodboard
Taking inspiration from the colorful illustrations of Chaaya Prabhat, I created a moodboard containing shapes and color schemes I could use in my own designs. To understand compositions and elements, I studied Rajasthani painting styles like Bani Thani, Pichwai, and Phad. The knowledge helped me construct the Kathputli stage backgrounds.

Within a show, I prepared props that would express the passage of time and space.
As a result, the props created the illusion that the real Kathputli show was moving across the stage. They included mountains, jungles, the Wishing Tree, Palki, the Sun, and the Moon.
